Here are some of the upcoming holiday shows:

“Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” 8 p.m. Tuesday on CBS: The classic about that reindeer, Santa and the Island of Misfit Toys.

“Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” 8 p.m. Wednesday on NBC: Annual celebration from New York City.

“Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” 8 p.m. Thursday on ABC: An animated classic about the origins of Santa.

“CMA Country Christmas,” 9 p.m. Thursday on ABC: Performances by Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Brad Paisley and more. Hosted by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles.

“It’s a Wonderful Life,” 8 p.m. Saturday on NBC: Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey in the 1946 Frank Capra classic about a fateful Christmas Eve in small-town Bedford Falls.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas,” 8 p.m. Dec. 5 on ABC: The Peanuts gang discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

“Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice,” 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5 on ABC: A new special about an “elite unit of elves.”

“A Christmas Carol,” 6:45 p.m. Dec. 5 with repeats through December on TCM: This 1938 version stars Reginald Owen as Scrooge.

“A Christmas Story” (1983), 6 p.m. Dec. 6 on TCM, and then 24-hour marathon beginning at 8 p.m. Dec. 24 on TBS: In the 1940s, Ralphie goes on a Christmas quest for a Red Ryder air rifle and … oh, you know the rest (”It’s a major award!”).

“Miracle on 34th Street” (1947), 9 p.m. Dec. 6 on TCM: The original version of the holiday tale stars Maureen O’Hara, Edmund Gwenn and Natalie Wood.

“Meet Me in St. Louis” (1944), 11 p.m. Dec. 6 on TCM: The Christmas scenes in this set-in-1904 Judy Garland musical are heart-tuggers.

“Frosty the Snowman” and “Frosty Returns,” 8 p.m. Dec. 9 on CBS: More holiday animation about everyone’s favorite snowman.

“Yes, Virginia,” 9 p.m. Dec. 9 on CBS: An animated holiday special based on the story of a child’s letter.

“The Flight Before Christmas,” 9 p.m. Dec. 10 on CBS: Animated holiday special.

“White Christmas” (1954), 8 and 10:45 p.m. Dec. 12 on AMC: Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and some wonderful music.

“Holiday Inn” (1942), 12:30 a.m. Dec. 16 on AMC: Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire star in the movie that introduced the song “White Christmas.”

“Christmas in Washington,” 8 p.m. Dec. 16 on TNT: Performances by Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson. Hosted by Conan O’Brien.

    We ate popcorn and watched “The Grinch” and “Shrek the Halls” last night. It’s so fun to see the holidays through my kids’ eyes. Mara loves Cindy Lou Who, and she giggled when the Grinch’s heart expanded.
