Enter the annual marshmallow Peeps diorama contest

Peeps come in all different shapes, flavors, colors and sizes — as do the many entries in the York Daily Record/Sunday News’ annual Peeps diorama contest.

Last year, “Peep Swan” danced its way to first place among more than 100 submissions. We received shout outs to pop musician “Justin Peepers” and political commentary on the “BPeep” oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Contestants turned those adorable little marshmallow treats into mounds of creativity. It’s time to do it again.

From March 4 to 18, residents of York and Adams counties may submit their contest entry here. The public will vote on entries March 19 to 25.

The top three vote-getters will be awarded prize packs worth $100, $50 and $25 from the maker of Peeps, Just Born Inc. of Bethlehem. A $25 prize pack will be awarded in a random drawing of all entrants.

Judges from the York Daily Record/Sunday News and Smart magazine will select Best of Show.

Complete rules are available on the submission form online. Entries must be submitted through the online form to be eligible for the contest.
