Live coverage: PRIMP the Runway Fashion Event and Food Drive

Fashion, food, entertainment and a “little Broadway performance” is what you can expect at PRIMP the Runway Fashion Event and Food Drive, the agency’s founder Sha’ Summerlin said.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the York City Ice Arena, 941 Vander Ave., York.

A spoken-word artist will host and open the night with a local boutique spotlight. Models will wear designs from KrysLyn’s Bridal Boutique and I’Sha Boutique, both with stores in York.

For the designer spotlight portion of the evening, models will walk the catwalk wearing New Jersey-based Renee France Designs.

For the show’s finale, a portion of the Broadway show “Dream Girls” will be performed by several actors and actresses wearing designs from all featured designers. A Dallastown Area High School student will play the part of James Early. This is the first year the show includes a live performance.

Vendors at the show include: Cupid’s Closet, Queen Essentialz, Mary Kay, It Works! Botanical Toning Body Wraps, and Thirty-One Gifts

Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door and $30 for a VIP pass, which includes reserved seating and a gift bag. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the York County Food Bank.
