Craft: Make paper ribbons for your presents

Want to make your gift stand out from the crowd?

Create a decorative ribbon using paper.

What your need:
Scissors
Utility knife
Hot glue gun or craft glue
Paper in assorted colors
Hole punch
Straight edge

Step 1: Cut long strips of paper about an inch wide

Step 2: Use a hole punch to create holes in your paper strip.

Step 3: Bend and curl the strip to whatever shape you want. Be creative.

Step 4: Add a small bead of glue to the ends of your paper strip to hold the bends of the paper strip in place.

Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 as many times as you like. I used about four strips to make my topper, but you can use less or more.

Tip: Create all your bended strips first, then attach them to your present, that way you can play with how you want the finished paper topper to look.

Alternative ribbon

Repeat Step 1 from above, but instead of punching holes, use your utility knife to cut four to five slits in the paper. Make sure the slits’ endpoints are about 2 inches from ends of the paper strip.

Then repeat Steps 3-5.
