I don’t watch the ACM Awards for the fashion.
Don’t get me wrong, there were a few beautiful gowns on the red carpet Sunday night — but, I get uncomfortable when a pair of Levis gets too close to a Dolce and Gabbana.
Nonetheless, here are a few of my favorite looks:
Meghan Linsey. I loved everything about her look — from her yellow drop earrings to her to-the-floor white gown. How beautiful is that waist detail?! Also, great neckline. Plus, she nailed it with the perfect shade of pink lipstick.
Taylor Swift. Any day I don’t see Taylor Swift in a knee-length 50’s housewife dress is a good day. There is a Hollywood-glam side of her that just started to shine within recent months. The Dolce and Gabbana gown she wore to the ACM Awards is stunning. The bead work is impeccable, the style is interesting and this color complements her skin tone.
Kaley Cuoco. I don’t really understand celebrity presenters at the ACM Awards that aren’t country music artists — or singers at all, to my knowledge. But, either way, props to Kaley Cuoco for a better makeup job than that scary look she gave us at the Golden Globes in January. Also, I’m really digging her dress — very bad-girl-meets-Batman chic. Her updo looks a little untamed, but it’s going in the right direction.
TOTALLY OFF: Miranda Lambert won major awards at this year’s ceremony, one of which will be worst dressed. She’s talented, beautiful and married to Blake Shelton — but her dress was all kinds of wrong, starting with that hair-thin line of black fabric that barely kept her boobs from falling out.
