Of Pots and Pens: Oat and flax soft pretzels

IMG_20130501_031918Soft pretzels are probably my greatest junk food temptation. If we’re at the movies, a ball game or  just at the mall, I’ve got to get one. They’re versatile and can be sweet, savory or anything your creative little mind imagines. But they are also a huge calorie hit. And let’s be honest, project blue dress seems to be successful, but I still have a month until our friend’s wedding takes place and I have to zip up that dress.

So let’s keep things slim.

I found this recipe on the Lean Green Bean blog, which I tend to gravitate to when I need a comfort food makeover. This are great because they’re nutty and wholesome, but still fluffy enough to satisfy that soft pretzel craving.
